Farmhouse Electrical Service Entrance.
This week we reached the final steps on connecting the farmhouse and garage to the grid. We passed our electrical inspection and just need to call the power company for the hookup.
The old system was worrisome enough that we essentially had to redo the whole system in the farmhouse, shelter and the garage building.
I really despise paying for multiple service fees, so when possible I like to combine everything into one big service. After the 400Amp size range things start to get very expensive, so that is why we decided to go with 400 amps
We also added two 200amp visually inspectable service disconnects. There is going to be a lot of solar added to the property, and Cumberland Valley Electric requires these big kerchunk switches.
There are more updates to come, but that is just what has been going on in the electrical department
